About

Rachel Britton is a Michigan-based photographer and experimental filmmaker. Born with an identical twin and fraternal triplet, Britton’s composite photographs are an homage to sharing the womb. Playing dress-up and switching places early on was the catalyst to their love for drag, adornment and disguises. Britton is most well-known for their BDSM body horror series, “Dysmorphia,” and “Art is a Drag,” a drag makeup collaboration with their identical twin, Kae Britton.

Britton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in photography from Grand Valley State University. Britton’s work has been published in Billboard Magazine and exhibited at Leather Archives and Museum, Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, Queer Arts Festival, and HUMP! Film Festival among others. Currently, Britton is exhibiting clown pornography at Natalie Seroussi Gallery in Paris, France and will be attending Tom of Finland Artist Residency in Los Angeles in 2025.
